Connect vanilla forums

Vanilla is a very innovative forum software. By innovative, I mean that it does something that we've been doing for many years much better than we were previously used to. At the very least, it's lightweight, intuitive and simple to use, and easy to customize. There is a lot of potential here that could be developed if there was a dedicated team. One of the things I would focus on for an advantage over the bigger players in this market is the ability for one Vanilla forum to "connect" with another Vanilla forum via some sort of extension. This would take social networking to a whole nother level. Instead of connecting individuals (ie. facebook) it would be effective way to connect established communities (which grow more valuable as they age). In other words, it would be a top down approach to social networking which hasn't been done yet. vB could never pull this off...or even a proper blog for that matter. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Simon
