Vanilla without javascript?

I haven't had the time to install Vanilla yet, but I was just curious: can Vanilla "operate" if a user disables Javascript? I noticed that whenever a user submits a reply or starts a new discussion, the submit button is "javascripty".

    You can post without JavaScript. There is only some few pages of Vanilla that require JavaScript enable:
    - user options.
    - Category setting page (admin)
    - Role setting page (admin)

    So basically, the admin settings, correct? I was just curious if it interferes with any user functionality.
