Zenphoto, a new photo gallery app was released recently.
Apparently with added AJAX.

    The best photo gallery that I have found and I've tried dozens is PhotoStack It is not only VERY easy to use, uses no database, has AJAX implementation, but also it's templates are a breeze to edit and customize... however, I will definitely check out ZenPhoto as it is distributed under GNU which could come in pretty handy! Plus the fact that Joen got it to play with WordPress is a big plus!!! Thanks for the post!

    Um, is this the same v0.9 zenphoto that I've been using for months?

    EDIT: I just looked at the dates.

    Someone in another thread (dont remember) mentioned Plogger. It resembles ZenPhoto a lot, but looks more complete.

    I don't think plogger lets me sort albums/images either
