Having a problem posting to my forum

It has been working for a couple days, but today, it wont let me post anything over 3 characters. I've tried resetting the value in the settings tab, but no matter what I put in, it still wont allow more than 3 characters. Is this something that I can fix, or is reinstalling Vanilla the only option? thanks - CJ
