Update: Randomly authenticated then deauthenticated

Update on weird authentication problem with Discussion tab/other tabs. If I am logged in to my account, and I access http://mydomain.com/forums/index.php, everything is good, and I find that I am authenticated, with my Settings tab and Account tab available, and my name showing with the sign out link in the upper right corner. However, if I am logged, and I access the Discussions tab with JUST http://mydomain.com/forums/, while I am still authenticated, the forum magically no longer recognizes me. I get the Login option in the upper right, and I'm a guest, without access to Account, etc. Now, my login is still valid, because is I type in http://mydomain.com/forums/settings.php, I am able to do everything I normally would be able to, with my name once again showing in the upper right. Conversely, if I sign myself out, and have logged in with this browser/IP before, and access http://mydomain.com/forums/, I show up as logged in again, but, this time, if I try and click one of the tab available to me, it realizes I am not really authenticates, kicks me back to /forum/, which once again shows me as still logged in. I'm completely dumbfounded as to why, perhaps something to do with cookies? I've experienced this on Firefox 3, Firefox 2, and Safari. Any ideas anyone? -David
