Using vanilla within an existing login membership system

Hi. has anyone ever experimented with using vanilla within a larger customer related login system. We have a site that sells books etc and wanted to use one customer login for a forum and our sales customers. To be honest the e-commerce system I have chosen comes with an inbuilt forum but it is not a patch on vanilla so I would prefer to dump that in favour of vanilla but the idea will not be any good unless I can combine the two logins. I would be very interested to hear if anyone has achieved a similar combination yet? regards keith

    I've posted some stuff on this here today, taking the master/slave approach, with Vanilla as the slave and a CMS as the master: http://lussumo.com/community/discussion/8943/integrating-with-a-cms-sessions-logging-in-and-out/ I've just started looking at this area, but it does seem like it should be straight-forward.
