Users running a non-download version of Vanilla (pulled from github), on branch release/2019.016 or master from the last 2 weeks should upgrade to release/2019.017 or latest master for security reasons. Downloaded official open sources releases are not affected.
Vanilla 1 is no longer supported or maintained. If you need a copy, you can get it here.

How to correctly install Vanilla on XAMPP?

These are the steps I made:

1) I started XAMPP and the services Apache and MySQL.

2) On my hard drive, I navigated to the XAMPP folder location and created a folder I named Vanilla.

Now What?


  • Well you do it just like you do normally I think. What I would usually do is make a VirtualHost, then you add the name to your Windows hosts file to allow it, then you can just go to the VirtualHost in the browser like a normal website.
    If you don't know how to do this I can give instructions.
