Flexible input as used by Wordpress or GMail

I love Vanilla and i'm building a new community with it. But i want to give simplicity to it. I really don't like the feature of the link "big input/small input" so i want to know if there is a way to give some functionality as used by Wordpress in the Add New Post form. I like as well the one used by Gmail that auto-expands while you write more and more lines. Thanks
