Introduction Page with "Enter" or "Leave" Links

edited December 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I would love to have an Introduction Page added to the root of the forum so that when any user Bumps into the forum, even before he logs in he should see the Introduction Page with "Enter The Forum" or "Leave Now" Links so that he can prefer to either access or leave based on the Introduction/Terms of our services.

Please Help.

  • Please help me with this one as i would really like to have this implemented so that people who visit can see the agreement terms and if they agree will be given access to browse through the forum and register thereafter.
  • Are you making a porn forum? lol
  • its not always a porn Forum when you talk about these stuff.

Its just that you give a chance to any user who visit your forum to read your terms and conditions a some rules that he/she should abide by during his stay on the forum to maintain that decency level and respect other users and their views.

If he or she agrees to the basic rules and T&C they will click "i accept/agree" and or simply "Disagree".

    Hope this is more clear.

I just installed the Default Page extension. Created an entry page HTML and uploaded it to the root of my .com. So, anyone who goes to mysite.com is redirected to mysite.com/enter.html. Clicking leave directs them to Google, Enter directs them to mysite.com/?IgnoreDefaultPage=1 thus showing the original default page.

Set List might be required as well. Also, when entering the custom.html into the default page settings menu, don’t use the full path such as mysite.com/enter.html.. Just put enter.html or whatever you call your entry page. Hope that helps and good luck with your porn forum lol.
