I have a question about Quick Blue Theme

edited January 2009 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I have a question. I am relatively new to web design. Am learning as I go. I made my site in dreamweaver, and I have a question. I have a forum made with Vanilla, and I am using the style extension Quick Blue. My header is blank with no title, what do I need to edit to insert a title in the header or Banner, much like the Lussumo Community banner/header above. My second question, is instead of just the plain text could I insert a created logo. I have photoshop, fireworks, and flash to create from but I don't want to alter the code too much, as I tried a couple options where I placed nuggets in the menu, and above banner that seemed to brick the code up pretty good. Please remember when responding it would be like explaining the theory of relativity to a five year old so easy tech speak and simple instructions would be best. My idea for the flash is a basic flashing tile effect in a small box above the discussion, cat,sear....tabs. Like a miniature version of the one on my homepage. OddLotBlog.com, or just a simple text overlay on the blue would be great too. I hear this is customizable I just can't figure how to do this exactly without messing everything up. Thanks in advance...Will

  • Hi I am responding to myself just to clarify some things. I want to be able to Change the font and size of the Forum title. I know that when you enter it in the settings it appears.
  • Ok, I am figuring out some as I go. I opened the vanilla.css, and found that #Header h1 controls that bit of text I want to change. I managed to change the color to white from black. Now I want to change the font, I typed font:"Californian FB" but the text reverted in size, but not color, and remained the same font. What am I doing wrong?
  • You don't need to do all that stuff bro... The easiest way is to go to settings>applicatio settings>banner title Then link to the image like this: <img src="link to image here">
  • I'm a donk, I just didn't read that part too carefully.
  • Still can't post HTML directly from my site into that banner. Have resigned to a standard header.
