I'm working on http://securitim.com/vanilla and would like a couple of basic changes. Firstly, I've created a new 'Home' tab and I'd like http://securitim.com/vanilla to redirect to that page instead of default 'Discussions' page. Secondly, on the Home page I want to get rid of the left hand column (All Discussions Feed) and the 'Welcome Guest' bit at the top, so it looks more like a proper home page. Any other ideas to help it look better would be much appreciated. HTML I can do, PHP I've no idea... :) Many thanks, Tim

I have the same problem.. .php (insert scratching the head emoticon here)

How did you get your "last post by" data to appear on the right side of the discussion, as opposed to being listed under the discussion? I want to do something similar... was this a default in a style you found somewhere? Or did you customize that yourself?

Ideally, I'd like to set up the discussions list in a 'grid or table form... with columns for discussion subject, #views, # posts, started by, last posted by and when, etc.. with the column titles on top and just the data in the boxes...

but I'm so clueless about this php stuff, that I can't even begin to know if it's 'possible' much less how to do it...

Does anyone know if here's a php for dummies primer book out there somewhere? Any wysiwyg editor software for php in existence (ie like GoLive for HTML)?
