Guest Post - Allow Guests to Start New Discussion?

edited May 2009 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
I installed GuestPost, and like how it enables guests to reply to existing discussions without having an account, though I would also like to allow guests to start new discussions using the reCaptcha resource without having to be logged in. I have been playing with the code, but haven't been able to figure out how to allow anonymous users to create discussions. I'd greatly appreciate any help! WOODY

  • Someone Please help!
  • Mate, the whole point of guest post is to give people a taste of contributing to your community.

If they are serious they'll register, otherwise they'll have to put up with not being able to start new discussions.

  • I need to be able to allow guests to start new discussions for the purpose of my site. I thought that I might could modify Guest Post to allow guests to start new discussions since it works for comments, but I'm not as savvy with the coding as I thought I was. I think if it's possible for working with comments, it must be able to be done with creating new discussions. I need help with this, as it is pretty urgent since I'd like to replace my current forum with Vanilla but am unable to do so yet because of this limitation. Help please. WOODY
