Help Working With Images

Perhaps I am missing something, but I want to let users upload images to my forum (http://forum.mumbojumbo.com) and store them on my server. It looks like all images have to be stored remotely and the user is required to enter the URL to the image on the remote server. Is this correct? Is there an extension that cures this (I could not tell if the Attachments extension is the right one)? Thanks!

For avatar and profile picture you must use a URL. For discussions you can install Attachments.
