log in not working!

After entering a user name and password the address bar shows http://www.mywebsitename.com/vanilla-1.1.8/people.php but the page is not there just the nobody home page, this was on IE version 6. I tried the same thing in Firefox and you have http://://www.mywebsitename.com/vanilla-1.1.8/index.php. This seems to be completely random, a second try or a combination of frantic back and refresh button pressing does the trick. I use shared hosting, maybe this has something to do with it! this lussomo community log in works fine so somebody knows how to fix it Help and ideas please!

    I've set up a new forum with the 1.1.8 install and have gotten this a few times as well.

    You are in fact logged in, but Vanilla is redirecting incorrectly.

    As mentioned, delete the extra :// and the forum loads properly.

    Edit:There's already a thread with the solution.
