Vanilla behind an Apache proxy

Hi, I have been trying to setup an ReverseProxy to my vanilla forum. But when ever the i try to login to a new session it does not lead the the forum page but instead it redirects me to the http://http://xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa/vanilla/ which should not the case. Has anyone setup a reverse proxy to vanilla? Pls help. Sam
