is it possible to email or message all registered users ?

    Not out of the box. I've been wary of writing this type of plugin because it could get people blacklisted as spammers.

    i suppose a message sent to all users could be achieved with the messages feature in the admin dashboard under appearance. You have a valid point.

    I think the risk is acceptable, and the warning can be spelled out on the page. I'd be very interested in this plugin as well, and if I were further along with getting familiar with Vanilla, I'd write it. Put another way, I'll try, but if someone knows how and wants to beat me to it, I wouldn't be upset.

    @bobtheman: Sounds like a good idea but it might be faster to just mass email all the users because they can actually read all the content in their while as opposed to clicking a link to view the conversation, if you know what I mean.
