Free Vanilla Forum Newbie Question

Hi

Im new to Vanilla Forums and found the software is just what we need for our mobile site, however I am a little perplexed to why there was a free version and a paid version on another domain, namely www.vanillaforums.com.
Is the free version limited in anyway?
Apologies if this has been raised a thousand times.

    The free version is not limited in any way, but it requires some technical knowledge to install and maintain it while the paid version is a hosted, turn key solution.
