Remove a participant from PM conversations

I really like the PM feature of being able to add another user to the conversation. But what do we do when they no longer want to be part of it? There can certainly be instances where an invited party no longer wants to be part of it.
Is there a way to remove someone from a PM conversation? Can it be done manually without taking out their contributions?
