How to change size of main message body?

How can I change the size of main body (length of red line) and how can I change message body size without changing size of panel texts?
I can not change main messages' & panel text separately in style.css.

    I found how to do it ;

    in style.css search for 960px (default theme) then change sizing as you wish...

    But this time I could not find how change the size of "message title+voting box" area???
