Bonk Errors on every theme except Default

I have just installed Vanilla 2 and everything went relatively smoothly except that I forgot to set folder permissions to 777 to the 3 folders. After that, I tried installing some new themes. But I am getting all Bonk errors including the Embed-Friendly and Mobile Themes that came with Vanilla 2.

I have also tried to preview different themes and they all cause Bonk errors.

What am I missing here? Thanks.

    I added this to the config.php: $Configuration['Garden']['Errors']['MasterView'] = 'deverror.master.php';

    and commented out
    // $Configuration['Garden']['Errors']['MasterView'] = 'error.master.php';

    I have refreshed a few times and still not getting anything but the generic bonk errors.

    Caching on the web server side? Restart web server and/or php. As the advice above should work.

    I had this error. It was because firstly my browser was caching the pages, and secondly because the Smarty directory and default files were missing from the /cache/ folder.

    I just installed Vanilla 2....crossing over from PHPBB3. I'm having the same issue, getting Bonked on every theme except the default Vanilla and for some reason Traditional Chocolate worked. I purchased the 'Ozone" theme and I'm getting Bonked as well. Why is this?

    Also I have this in my config-default.php $Configuration['Garden']['Errors']['MasterView'] = 'deverror.master.php'; but it's not showing the issue on the bonk page.

    Any suggestions? I don't see a final fix in this thread for the issue. Thanks.
