Need ShareThis to point back to my Embedded forum.

I love this plug-in. But I can't use it because it links back to my source forum. I need my traffic to go through my embedded form. Is this an easy tweak?

    Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by source forum vs. embed? They should be the same. Perhaps, you are referring to the "Remote Url" options?

    There is the URL where my forum really lives (as per the file system on my site) http://ballofspray.com/vanilla2/

    And there is the embed forum that is pretty where I want the forum to be seen and used http://ballofspray.com/forum

    Please don't tell me I set it up wrong! If I did it right at my end.... when the user hits ShareThis (or gets a message via email) the sent link it to the source forum not the embedded

    Isn´t that the way it needs to be?

    From my understanding the embedded forum just pulls the content from the source forum.

    With the option to show the forum in embed url and force/redirect visitors to the embed.. all linking credits are going to the source url (which i think is fine) and visitors following that links are forced to see the forum in the embedded place.

    Search engines know it´s related to the "real" forum
    Visitors will see the embed forum

    BUT:
    the url domain.com/vanilla/ may isn´t the url you want to show, right?

    I -the time i´ve done the setup- installed vanilla to domain.com/forums and embedded it to domain.com/forum

    so even i decide to have a standalone forum in the future.. links are not going to /vanilla but /forums

    That is what I want.

    ShareThis points back to this http://ballofspray.vanillaforums.com/

    I do not use things like share this because I do not want my readers to find the "vanillaforums.com" URL

    Correction.... I do not want my readers to find the "vanillaforums.com" version of my forum. Hope everyone who needs a forum uses Vanilla

    i installed vanilla on my own directory. try using AddThis or ShareMe

    what i did was used the script and everything for AddThis in place of the ShareThis javascript and other code needed
