My Vanilla forum setup is working like a charm. There are just two things that I'd like to do.

First would be changing them "apply for membership" button on the front page to something like "Join now".

The second would be increasing the character limits for posts and threads.

Are there anyways to do these things?

    There is a help topic about localization here: http://vanillaforums.org/docs/localization. It will help you change the text of the Apply for Membership button.

    You can change the character limit for comments in your dashboard. It is under Spam or Flood Control depending on your version.

    Oh, thanks Todd. That solved most of my problems! Now just to knock our the "apply for membership"-ma-bob and I'm crystal!
