vanilla 2 with ldap authentication?

Hi,
I am looking for LDAP authentication for my vanilla installation. I have seen a post or two from Caerostris (http://projects.caerostris.com/) about a year ago, but no usable plugin/application that I can use.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
