keeps feeding in the same items

the plugin keeps feeding in the same items over and over again. I had to disable the plugin because it was filling up my forum with duplicate posts from the feed, I would really like this working. Any ideas?

    If your config file is not writable, this plugin will not be able to remember its last position. Make sure your config is writable.
