How can i edit the New discussion page

Hey guys, If any one could help on how i can edit the new discussion page. I'ld like to put a little instruction just under the the first text area. Any help

    Copy /applications/vanilla/views/post/discussion.php to your theme and edit away.

    Should i replace with the discussion.php that is in the view folder of my theme?

    you got to remember which folder it goes to.

    in your theme/views/post/discussion.php - you have to put the file in there.

    create a backup before you put the new file in the directory
