How to automatically parse links?

edited February 2006 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hi there! How can I make it so that links get automatically parsed? It's a pain to use <a href or other things to make it a link :(

post with the format set to text. unless you mean something else by parsed.
  • http://some.place.com will autolink in text, but you cant shorten it to 'place' as a clickable link if thats what you were hoping to do.
  • It does?! Strange.. I typed in http://www.ajaxian.com and it didn't :(
  • it did. :P
  • Here it did.. :P But Iam using the HTML formatter Plugin which doesn't seem to have this function :)
  • Yeah it doesnt. Thats so you learn to use html and stop being lazy. You will be able to chain them together in the next revision.

Sorry.. I don't speak HTLM and Iam not gonna learn it :P

I was just wondering hence I was asking ;-)

I think Iam the only one using the Html extension on my community although it has some nice advantages.

  • I wanted the same for the BBCode formatter.. http://lussumo.com/community/comments.php?DiscussionID=1085 See that thread for the solution and you can pretty much just do that for the HTML format extension file.
