Are badges included in the self-hosted version?

Hi,
I really like the new features you added to VanillaForums.com like the badges, abilities, avatars etc.

Is everything included in the self-hosted version?
Thanks in advance,
Alex

is it a new week already?
Wow, time flies when the weekly 'are badges included in the free version' topic shows up... (text message sent to 422's phone...)

  • Ok, good to know. Thanks all for input. Too bad though :(

  • Does anyone know if there are plans to add a search facility to Vanilla forums?

I think it would be a really good idea, as then people would be able to look for previous answers, instead of asking the same questions over and over again.

Frankly, for such a great project, it's a surprising omission.

  • Although the search facility is present, I know what you mean. there is a topic about that from couple of weeks ago.

    It's similar to this:

    User enters new topic.
Vanilla searches in all topics for similar topics.
User gets presented with a list : 'Did you mean' : (list here) and when he clicks something, he either gets redirected to existing topic or creates a new topic

Moderators should also be able to merge topics to avoid annoying duplicate topics, but I don't think the developers will implement topic merging.

  • Thanks Underdog , i searched for badges and got bugger all.

@Underdog - that would be a good idea, but tbh I was being facetious.

(facetious - one of the few English words to have all the vowels in alphabetical order.)

  • I had to look it up, but I understand what you mean now :-)

: ''Robbie's joke about Heather's picture was just him being '''facetious'''.''
