What is the character limit?

Hi,

I was pasting an article to my blog category when I saw an error message that said my message "was 4800 characters too long." I cut the post in half and it then went through.

What is the character limit? How can I bypass it?

    in the dashboard there are settings for it.

    /settings/floodcontrol
