Great idea peregrine !

vrijvlindervrijvlinder Papillon-Sauvage MVP

Once again you have come up with a marvelous Plugin yay to the plugin king! it works but has a bug not sure how to fix it. I added the css and all correctly and it displayed correctly, however when I went to visit site , the page loaded half way and I clicked dashboard to go back but stayed on the same page and noticed that the url said I was in the dashboard but the dashboard was gone. I could not get back in so I had to delete the plugin for now until we can figure what I am doing wrong...But I really really really love this plugin idea very much and thank you for coming up with it !

    1) Does it work correctly before you added your custom css?
    I believe so.

    2) If so, I suspect it is a problem with your site and/or your customadmin.css.
It works fine for me. So, until you attach your css for viewing we will never know, will we.

I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

Yay, great for doing an alternative to the sugar-candy Vanilla backend. Also it might open the possibility to create a mobile version as well, not?

    Thanx @peregrine!

It works now, yes I am using my css, it must have been a freak occurrence . I was too sleepy last night to mess around with it, but after reinstalling the plugin it seems to work fine. :) I am going to attach some css for viewing or if people want to use it in a few .

Thanks again peregrine !! you rock

remember people to also copy the images for the admin into the plugin in a new folder called images...

  • @vrijvlinder

nice look that one you posted.

if you do two more admin theme css's (maybe one light one) and post them in the same manner. I can include them in the plugin. If so, I'll put you in as illustrator.

I have a mobile theme switcher in the works. If @vrijvlinder wants to post some mobile.css.

This is dependent on vrijvlinder since anyone who has modified their mobile themes or even regular themes, asked for feedback and questions and not posted add-on themes, doesn't know the meaning of giving back to the community. I won't rail (or maybe I will) on the people who still don't know how to click on the "awesome" or "insightful", maybe it's just to hard for them. Not to mention the people who mostly take without giving on the forum, who learn something on the forum, and can't type a few words of instruction on the wiki.

    http://vanillawiki.homebrewforums.net/index.php/Main_Page

I find it enjoyable to provide what help and plugins that I can, but the above paragraph contains a few reasons, why my interest is flagging - take and run, or take and stay but lack of the above, (cutting and pasting to the wiki - couldn't be too onerous as reciprocation for help received on the forum). A person who is a member of the forum for several years and not providing any of the above - add-ons, themes, help, adding to wiki, learning to use "click on the "awesome" or "insightful", just ain't doing there fair share here.

BTW phreak - this is not pointed at you, if none of it applies to you, only to the people who it does apply to, and if they don't know who they are, well ...

And the most ironic thing of all, is some of the people who want the Badges and Reactions don't use click on the various reactions on this very forum where there is an opportunity to do so.

    >

I can see a long time user fail to react on purpose, that kind of sucks, but a new person? could it be they are unaware of the buttons because you must hover to see them ?
I'd hate to think people are selfish or intentionally not giving a reaction...It took me a while to figure those out, maybe I one could add a tag line " Don't forget to react, hover below the comment and select your choice" .

BTW - what's your intention on the dark dash

    dashboard-bg.png

if it correctly reads this I believe it is reading the standard blue do you have a different one in mind.

    @vrijvlinder

I added part of your mobile standalone theme ( http://vanillaforums.org/addon/mobile-theme ) to the "sister" plugin theme switcher for mobile devices.
    the theme switcher plugin available
    here ( http://vanillaforums.org/addon/mobilethemeswitcher-plugin )

I consider both of them completed as far as I am concerned. People can add stylesheets on the mobilethemeswitcher-plugin if they want under a thread
    here ( http://vanillaforums.org/addon/mobilethemeswitcher-plugin )
