Error when attempting to post a thread.

When trying to post a thread in my vanilla forum I get this error {"Code":401,"Exception":"You don't have permission to do that."}. Thanks for any help!

try one or all of these 3 possiblities.
try this in your config.php
$Configuration['Garden']['RewriteUrls'] = FALSE;
verify your .htaccess is correct.
verify your permissions for role.
what version of vanilla.
