    This has been fixed for 2.1 and I backported the fix here. I've attached the updated Facebook plugin to this thread too.

    @hogblog disable your old facebook plugin

    remove old facebook folder and upload this one

    enable again it/..

    Hello, thanks for this!

    But: updates to this plugin, and the twitter one shipped with the self-hosted forums, are very hard to find updates to on the vanilla site.... It took me a long while to find this, and I still have no idea how to fix the email adress issue with the twitter plugin that I see that you have solved in here by asking for a mail address.. is there a fix for that somewhere here aswell? Are there plugin pages for these where updates are posted?

    We downloaded Todd's updated plugin, activated it again but Facebook says,"An error occurred, please try again later". Did that all over again and still the same. Reset browsers. Reset App secret. Same happens. :-( our site: http://teaguardian.com/dialogues/

    Just tried registering for your site using Facebook and it worked fine - did you fix it?

    Thanks for response kasperisager. We had done that b4 posting the comment here. Waited half a day now and the error message is gone. It simply just allows me to log on FB and does nothing to our site :-(
