How can I login from http auth (.htaccess login) ?

Hi everybody !
I'd like to know how can I configure a sort of "automatic login" from a previous .htaccess login.

To be clearer, I have a self-hosted vanilla forum which directory is protected by a .htaccess + .htpasswd.
I'd like my users don't have to login a first time on the http login dialog, and a second time with the vanilla login dialog. So, for your opinion, how can I integrate http login in vanilla ? Dokuwiki and owncloud integrates it natively so I didn't have to do much for them, but with Vanilla it seems to be a little bit more difficult... ;)
