How to 'close' a Vanilla Forum?

I want to close down my Vanilla Forum for the Holidays, however, users can still access the site by typing in http://www.mywebsiteurl.net/discussions | How do I get it to block that too and everything else such as if they bookmarked a discussion?

@ilovetech: If search engine traffic is important to your forum, it's not a good idea to close your forum for several days. You'd probably get thrown down several pages and have to fight back then.
I would just restrict posting it that is an issue. As phreak says, public forums, you want to avoid closing off view access.
