Hello, I just set up a test site yesterday (Open Source, 2.1) and had some family members try registering. One member uploaded a picture from her iPhone as a Profile Picture, but the loaded image is upside down. Any clue as to what would cause this behavior? Thanks.

My guess is that the actual image (on the phone) is upside down because it was taken in a rotated or upside down scenario, and the source device intelligently rotates it for you based on image meta data. We do not do that (nor does any other software). We take the image as it is and use it just like that. We only scale it down in size. There is no rotation or other image manipulation done.

I suggest you get your family members to download the images to a computer and open them in some image editing tool and ensure that they are oriented properly.

Thanks. I downloaded and rotated it manually. Wasn't thinking about phone rotation.
