Is there a way to get it to work on Vanilla 2.2?

Are you asking for a way to integrate it with the Advanced Editor?
I use it with Button Bar on a 2.2 install and it works as expected.
It does nothing for me. But that's okay, as the new default image upload in the button bar seems to work, albeit it is a bit confusing.
its only works , when users are commenting, but it doesn't work when creating a new discussion and your need a picture in there.
