How to Add Sections?
I am just curious if it is possible to group categories into sections. Each section would just basically have a text Title and description and then under all the categories/subcategories. Is this possible?
Right now it is possible to show your forum title/description and then a list of categories, all that I would need is a way to add another title and description mid way down the page. not sure if this is possible.

Yes, you just drag and drop them to the order you want and if you drag it to the side a bit it becomes a subcategory. This is done in the section where you create the categories.

would like to divide the forum into parts sort of.
You would create a Section 1 Category , then you would create the subcategories , then drag the subcategories to the right a bit and they will now appear as subcategories of the Section Categories.
You can choose to display Categories as Headers. This might help ...
