Emoji Auto insert error in Advanced Editor

Hi there.... after successfully finding my first "Glittch" in the Forum software, here is (presumably) a second one.. πŸ˜„

Forum Verl. 2.8

Editor used: Advanced Editor in HTML mode from Dane MacMillan

In my Forum I write my posts always in BOLD... dont ask me why... πŸ˜„

So after changing from bold to italic to normal Text format and using the Emojis in WRITTEN Form (not klicking them with the mouse from the dropdown Menu, but writing them as for example >>> )

So the first written emoji is ok, then after altering the fontstyle and typing the emoji again, it copy itself wrongly into the text... πŸ™„

Difficult to explain.. here are some screenshots:

you can see what it is doing after pressing enter after an emoji...

if you look at the dropdownlist, "thumbs" is not even in the list anymore

This should be the correct way

So just to ensure, that is not my fault, could somebody check this?

  1. write a text in bold, after type for example " :thu " and then press enter (to take over the emoji from the dropdown list)
  2. type something in normal style and also type in an emoji and press enter
  3. change again in bold or italic and goto 1

If it is an error, I`ll post it on Github... πŸ‘Š

ThX in advanceπŸ’–

p.s.: this error is at least since Forum Ver. 2.0

    Hi. nobody has these Errors?

I think, that the advanced Editor is still one of the best... just has this Glitch...

I considered changing to Rich Editor, but the storing Format in the DB scared me off... πŸ™„

Hard to try. Wich Emoji set are you using ? Because I do not have any .

But for myself Advanced Editor still the best. Rich Editor (and format) is too messy and restrictive for me.

but I got one problem that I haven't seen before (because my using old school BBCode) is that:

When you type a "emoji code" the popup apear, you press enter or tab so it will add the full name after what you write. So you have :sm:smile:. Kinda stranger behavior.

    YES! Exactly, K17!

Look at my screenshots... exactly the same error!!

    You can use any emoji.....

    Thx for trying, K17.,.. πŸ‘οΈ

OK, so it seems to be an A.Editor error..... I`ll post it on Github.. ;)
