Tag topics
Hi,
I'm sorry to disturb you. I'm pretty new and I didn't find the way to tag my topics. My goal is to get feedback from our customers and validate the proposals done by them. So tagging them with elements like : Proposed - Under consideration - Planned - In progress - Declined - Completed
And adding a second tag like : Announcement - Question Answered - Question Unanswered - Submitted - Resolved - Known
Is it any possibility to add it under Vanillaforum ? If yes, how can I proceed ? Do I need extra plugin ? I found partially the result under this forum (with only 1 tag) but didn't find the way to configure it under our own one.
Thanks for your help youngs

Tagging is an inbuilt feature since Vanilla 3.?, before that it has been an official plugin. You can enable it by going to your dashboard. You find it in the settings below "Categories" and "Posting". Or you can directly go to "/settings/tagging".
You need to enable tagging and you can (have to?) give the permission to the appropriate roles.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I have already activate all. I see the tags in the right column and under each of my post, but I didn't see them in the listing.
But I didn't see them in my listing :
In addition, I have used these two plugins in the past

@yguerdat: For the easy of use the Tagging component might probably not fit your needs. Though it can be bended to work like that with additional programming I would recommend (as you use tagging also on the base of it's intended function) to keep it that way and add this function with an additional plugin.
If I understand correctly than you would like to add sort of a flag to each discussion (this should only be done by you or moderators i guess). The best would be to add this from the jog wheel. Something like that for example? (pretty fast mockup).
I have install the discussionmaker. For the hashtag-plugin, I can't activate it. The system told me that I need to install tagging first.
Hi @phreak
Yes you perfectly understood my request :-) Is that something possible to do inside VanillaForum ?
Thanks for your feedback
There is a plugin that allows to add one "tag" to a discussion: https://github.com/vanilla/addon-forks/tree/master/plugins/PrefixDiscussion
This one look great. Can you confirm me who can use this feature. The goal is that the admin + moderator only can add this tag, not every user.
@R_J my fault I didn't read the documentation :-) I found it, sorry 😁
You must set permissions in order to allow your users to a) add and b) view prefixes! (under yourforum/dashboard/role)
Nobody reads the docs 😉
