On my side the plugin is installed and the vanilla version is 2.8.
I join the subject to ask you where is this import click, because I can't find it in this:
In Vanilla, click Import in the Dashboard.

Don't use the import tool for updates. That won't work. Please follow the upgrade steps in the docs instead
