disabled Vanillicon addon but still see the same avatars

I apologize for asking so many questions..
I disabled Vanillicon addon, but I still can see Vanillicon's avatars on my forum. I did clean up the cache two times. Is there anything that I need to do to apply changes?
I want to use Gavatar instead of Vanillicon, but it seems it doesn't apply the changes correctly, as I still see Vanillicon's avatar.
Please advise.

Mmh, usually works flawless. Did you clean your browsers cache or the Vanilla file cache?

Folder 'Cache' in the root directory of your forum. Empty it except .htaccess. Enjoy.
@mikerds: In the file structure. ~/vanillafolder/cache/
Now it should work. ;)
I have run into serious troubles occasionally by deleting folders within the cache folder. I'd say it's safest for ordinary users to just delete that file recommended in that troubleshooting link.
