How can I disable uploading images in posts?

I love the new advanced editor in 2.5, but I want to force people to hotlink images instead of clicking+dragging/uploading the images to my site.

How can I turn off image uploading in posts without having to resort to a different editor plugin?

Search in the \conf\config.php for 'image', 'upload' or something like that, and set to 'false'.
    EDIT
Or better than that, uncheck the option for attachments for 'Registered' role.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Hmm I looked into it but it seems like there's no option in the roles editor for attachments.

  • In the role editor I have in Plugins section an option Upload Attachments - translated from my language, I suppose that's what it says in english. Ctrl+F for 'attachments' to find it.
If users can upload images on the server, than you should have this option.

You can switch it off in Categories too.
