How do I get "Polls" plugin/feature in my forum?

Hi everyone, I have recently installed Vanilla forum via Cpanel through my hosting provider. It seems to be free and limited in certain features. I am not sure how it works but I would like to know the limitations of this free version and also would like to know how to get polls feature. My installed version doesn't seems to have options to update as well.. Please help

Updating is done vi Cpanel, same place you installed. Assume you mean f.ex Softacolus.

It is also possible to install/update manually.

Thank you @Kaspar , that clears my doubts. Yes I used Installatron (same as softaculous) provided in cpanel by Godaddy.

I would be much more grateful if you could clear one last doubt, what if I wish to move for paid hosting in the future, would it be possible after I make my custom changes in the software? Would I continue to get security updates on free version?

Going to paid would be moving your database to a forum setup handled by Vanilla forums - not moving your forum installation.

F.ex they would not take in that poll plugin as the paid for have a Vanilla maintained Polls feature.

The free version is updated from time to time, comes in bundles (paid gets fixes/updates as they are made)
