I just want to start a forum for friends to chat and share. Am I in the right place or no?

    This is the forum for the OpenSource Vanilla Forum software.

    You cannot start your own forum here, if that is what you mean.

    There is paid for product of Vanilla forum that gives you both hosting, forum setup and support.

    But you can also setup it yourself or use automatic installers(provider by some hosting service)
