The variable is empty and does not display ... I'm using PHP 5 ... date/time stuff seemd to work fine ... I'm using MySQL 5 ... datetime is placed in the database table correctly for posts ... But $Discussion->DateLastActive ... is empty ... Any ideas ???

    Properties of different objects are pulled from the database only where they are needed... so if you need to use it somewhere where the core code doesn't usually have it, you need to find where the object is queried from the database and add to the SqlBuilder the properties you need.

    You can see an example of how to do this with my Buy A Drink extension--I needed to include each user's email address and preferences on the comments page where those things usually aren't needed.
