Add custom fileds in sign in form

I want to add custom fields in sign in form. For example "university". I don't want users complete their account profile after registration. because most of them don't do that. it's better they add some information during registrations.

How can I do that?

I mean some value/label in sign in form that people MUST fill them before signing up their account.

    Hi, I would download that extention: http://lussumo.com/addons/index.php?PostBackAction=AddOn&AddOnID=69 and change the manipulation that extention does with that ones you want it to do. Good idea?

    This extension adds only First name and last name, and I don't know what to do with this codes :( I don't know programming, so please help me.

    You had 3 years to to write a plugin and solve it and you still didn't! :)

    I'm newbie on Vanilla! I'm on my 2nd day testing vanilla :) I'll reback to this post in 2015! If I be using Vanilla still.
