Import of existing forum possible?

The hosted forum looks veeery nice! Well done Mark et al.

Is it or will it be possible to import an existing Vanilla 1.x forum? I would love to switch to the hosted one.

    This will definitely be possible. The import script was used to get the community forum upgraded to Vanilla 2, but it's not quite ready for prime time.

    Of particular note is we are having trouble with foreign language characters being imported. I'm hoping someone in the community will have some input on this one.

    Stay tuned for the import though.

    Do you mean beta Vanilla 2? Right now the database hasn't changed for about a month so you should be fine just updating the code and moving your config file over.
