Re: YAGA Profile Suggestion
@hgtonight I have written something similar for myself :D I don't think there is a general solution though, because there is no connection between badges of the same rule. e.g. You may have these badges: 1 Post 10 Posts 100 Posts 1000 Posts 1337 Posts 10000 Posts ... If the "1337 Posts" is meant to be a special badge, you… -

Re: Ckeditor for latest vanilla 3 is much needed
Here's a code snippet from a function with JQ and JQUI: if (c('EnabledPlugins.jqueryui',false) && $dropdown == false) { echo $sender->Form->TextBox($field, ['maxlength' => 10, 'id' => $field, "placeholder" => $tip, "value" => $value, "class"=> $class, "title" => $title]); $id = '$("#'.$field.'")'; echo '<script… -
Re: Tweaks for optimization - Page Speed
You can compile nginx so that you simply can use a switch to strip whitespaces from html. That is essentially the same like "compressing" css. I have taken a look at this page and it has around 86k characters. By simple search and replace I could reduce it to 79k, nearly 10% less ;) I do not know if there is something… -
Re: Multiple TextFormatters, Vanilla One wins
Thanks @Todd. I'll check it. The fact is that I still use RC1 with HtmlPurifier. And I'm not sure that I correct explain what I need. For example, default format method for comments is "Html". I created plugin which can do the same what doing Format::Html() with minor changes. And someone created another plugin… -
Re: [SOLVED] Installing Vanilla 2.1b3 on a non-internet connected server.
I might add, here in Peregrinistan, I have a line of people around the block waiting to sign-in to my new non-internet and non-networked 2.1b3 server. Some people were camping out since midnight. I gave them doggie bags to tide them over (v and lincoln - inside joke :)) People are allowed 10 minutes on the server to post… -
Performance concerning categories
Hi, I was wondering what impact having a large volume of categories might have on overall performance of vanilla forum and in what areas performance would degrade as category count balloons. My intent is to allow a private category to be automatically created for each user, and for overall topic count for each user to be… -
Temporarily wrong discussion and comment count in a later added sub-category on vanilla 3.3
When I added a subcategory on second level, the discussion count and comment count was totally wrong. It seems like the count for the new category "Sonstiger-Bieriges" got the accumulated counts+1 from the other categories. DIscussion: 1 + 10 + 4 = 15 +1 = 16 Comments 0+ 107 + 0 = 107 + 1 = 108 In fact this category is… -
Performance issues with drafts
Hello, Our Vanilla instance (https://forum.pluxml.org) suffers from performance issues with drafts. When a draft is created the page freeze. The longer the message, the longer is the freeze. It's even worse with Rich Editor. That wy we disabled it. The freeze issue is still there but it is bearable now. Alse I tried to…
