Re: Simple Setting Screens With ConfigurationModule
Wow, that's sucks (archives, search limitation, etc.)... but your pointer to the original post is on the mark- Thanks!. I feel less in the dark just to realize that Peregrine the great posted a question close enough to what I deduced from the Vanilla source. Maybe I have some hope;-) I wondered whether google search works… -
Re: Vanilla 2.8.1 is now available - Security Patches & Bug Fixes
@MichaelTyson, I followed that step too, but it appears that JS and CSS files are required from the /dist folder. Current Upgrading instructions say: 1. Backup your database, .htaccess and conf/config.php file somewhere safe. 2. Upload the new release’s files so they overwrite the old ones. 3. Delete all files in /cache… -
Re: How do I write a Plugin with a Module?
No, I mean that if your mobile theme does not have the panel, simply add it to the tpl. then anything that is on the panel will also work for the mobile. Mobile themes by default don't contain the panel. I added it to my themes because I wanted to have the panel and it's contents also available for mobile. Adding the panel… -
Re: Great plugin -- a suggestion
I remember now why I append my little bit of extra CSS to the main style.css file in /applications/dashboard/design/. Because it does cascade down to the included mobile theme. It may be an unintended or less elegant way to do things, but it seems a decidedly less complicated way. If the main reason for not doing this is… -
Re: Enhancements and Feedback
Yes, and you don't want to store your results in a text file either. From your instructions it looks like the ipaddresses can just be downloaded by anyone if they know the location of the text file. and put it in the url. Look at Discussion Polls plugin. Tear it apart until you understand it. Take some basic ideas from it… -
Re: Introducing DiscussionTopic
now that you added to github and link works as indicated in add-on page , besides the already mentioned two issues that I noticed .... * 1 locale problem that you have with deprecated usage. * 2 and removal the clutter of debug statements. noticed this... * 3 suggest not ending all your code with ?> (it is not only NOT… -
mailchecker plugin - issue on Vanilla 3.3
After installing and enabling the plugin, and then trying to refresh the blank domain list in settings... there was a popup error of : "syntax error, unexpected ':'" Checking the comments on the plugin page, that error seemed to indicate that cURL was not installed on the server - but - it is, and the version showing is… -

Hi! Ads Support ,Push Notifications and Modern User Friendly Language
As a user of vanilla communities for more than 5 years and as community owner for one year. I have all praises for the software. Without going in positive details i will like to draw attention to important shortcomings. As an community owner, everyone, even non profit community will like to recover costs. Vanilla totally…
