Add the bold/italic/etc options at the bottom They appear inline when you highlight text (along with the code and link formatting options). Yikes. I don't see how a format like that is necessary. I wrote a few WYSIWYG editors and actually just used BBcode to store the data so that it was portable. Even used the IMG tag..
