im getting an error on installation?

i unzipped the zip file from github, and uploaded it to my webserver and i get this error

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/27/d292962213/htdocs/lussumo-Garden-4a0540b/index.php on line 30"

i dont understand this problem, would love some help guys

    That means it thinks the -> is out of place on line 30 of index.php. I'm afraid I don't know why that is, so I'll default to the old standby: what version of PHP are you running?

    thanks lincoln for replying, but i think i realised the problem i was running php 4, when its meant to be php 5, let me just check that it is.
